Get everyone else involved. Ask your friends and family for support. You can even ask them to ride with you.

GET ONYA BIKE
Get out and about and do the K’s for vulnerable kids.
A childhood without safety is no childhood at all. Yet, thousands of Australian children are living at risk of abuse and harm in their homes. You can replace fear and danger with freedom and safety by getting on your bike this October and raising funds for Barnardos Australia.
Sign up to ride from 50 to 500km in October and help vulnerable children to recover and thrive.

MEET BEN: A YOUNG PERSON REACHING HIS POTENTIAL
MEET GRACE
“When Grace first came to me, all she had was a plastic bag with two dresses and a shoe. It broke my heart.”
– Annie, Grace’s Carer
At almost four years old, Grace hadn’t been toilet trained and was still wearing nappies. Grace didn’t have the language to tell anyone what was wrong, and would try to calm herself by rocking back and forth in a corner.
After a home visit from Barnardos deemed that her parents were not capable of giving Grace appropriate care, Grace went to live with Annie, a Barnardos foster carer who is also a childhood development specialist.
Annie provided Grace with all the attention, patience and help she needed. She taught her how to use a toilet and after a lot of support from speech and occupational therapists, Grace is now able to speak.
This little champ is finally getting the support she needs, but she still has a long way to go.
With your help, we can get her there.
